final part 1 of 2

Class / Self evaluation

What I liked about this class were my classmates, especially pigeon because he's always so happy and seeing him happy makes me happy. I learned a lot of new things in this class that will help me in life. Unfortunately, I still make bad decisions but I learn from my mistakes (most of the time). What I also liked about this class was that Mr. Haymore always taught us to not give up and to always do our best. I think this classroom is fine as it is and that there's nothing to improve. I did my best most of the time in this class because the assignments were easy and all we had to do is type. Although sometimes I didn't do my work because I was either lazy or tired. Am I committed to be a CTR person? No, I don't think i'm ready to be a good girl. I'm used to making "bad choices" and well I like it. I can be a good person or a bad person. If you treat me right, cool i'll do the same but if you don't then that's something else. If people have a problem with the way I am they can confront me about it. If they want problems, i'll give them problems. It is what it is and nobody's going to tell me what to do or the way i'm going to act.
Oh, and this is the love of my life, Gustavo ©

And of course, Pigeon ©

IDP

IDP Showcase

My part was to do the symptoms. Our disease was COPD (Chronic Obstruction Pulmonary Disease). My team mates were Jesse, Miguel, Celeste and Marla. I learned that when you have COPD it could be hard to breathe. It can be hard to let air out. If you cant lat air out then you cant let air in. If you don't have air, you can choke or have a stroke. I don't think the project benefited me at all. I think that because all of my team mates told me that they all messed up. They said they got a bad score. I didn't show up because i'm on house arrest. I didn't ask my CDP officer to let me out so yeah. Plus, I was lazy i'm moving anyways so it really doesn't matter what grades I get.

Right
"Always do right"
Mark Twain

This quote means that you always have to do whats good. If you do whats good, you will always have the best. Also, you will be appreciated by other people. You will have compliments and good grades. If you have good grades, you'll get a scholarship. Earning a scholarship means that you can have a great career. Having a great career means a lot of money. If you have a lot of money, you'll have a house and lots of cars. So always do whats right so you can get all of that.

" It is better to be alone than to be in bad company. " - Unknown

What this quote is saying is that when you're alone it's better than having all the bad vibes around you. For example, when you're alone you can get things done faster and there will be no pressure on you. While having someone there they might be telling you to hurry up and try to finish faster and just by that is already a bad company. Another example would be is when you're alone you know all the right things to do so you do them. But while you're with others you won't do the right things, you know you should but you don't do that. It's better to choose to do the right things than the bad things with other people.

The three questions

1. Can people trust me to do what's right?

2. Am I committed to doing my very best?

3. Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?

"If the answer to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail."

Lou Holtz

I think this means that if you are capable of doing what it says up there ^ than you'll be successful in life. If the answers are no then you're going to be a loser.

Physical Fitness

"Physical Fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong."

What thsi qoute is trying to say is that we all need a healthy body. The sports or things you do to keep yo healty is not the only thing to do. You need to also eat healthy. Or make healthy milkshakes, etc. Also you can be the one that can in a diet. you need to read fot your mind can be healthy. We are all smart but we just dont know it or we dont use it. Stay away from drugs. We need to stay away coffe. Be fit.

Kindness

"Kindness is the essence of greatness."
Joseph B. Wirthlin

A person could excel at something, but it doesn't meant that they are a great person. Being a great person means being kind to others, and always choosing the right. A person can't have greatness without kindness because this characteristic is one of the building blocks of being a well rounded person. In my eyes, being well rounded, always choosing the right, and being kind makes a person great. Being kind makes a person great because they feel good and they make others feel that way about them when they do good. However, you can also be really unskilled at doing something or several things and still be great in character. This is all through the power of kindness and the ability it gives you when applying your social skills. Kindness is what makes an individual unique in the way that they express this trait. No matter the style this trait is presented, it can only benefit society and everyone in it. Kindness is the key to greatness, and is the way to lead others to believe that notion themselves.

Thanksgiving Week

Thanksgiving Week
On this Thanksgiving week, I din't get no go out no where. Like literally no where not even outside my doorstep since i'm on house arrest. On Thanksgiving day, my family and I didn't eat turkey. (We don't like turkey.) So, instead of turkey, we made Tamales and Pozole. Thanksgiving was pretty lame. I didn't do any homework. I was packing everything up because we're moving to Long Beach in one or two days. I watched a movie called radio and had my boyfriend come over.

"If it is not right, do not do it; if it is not true, do not say it."
Marcus Aurelius

I think that this quote is true because why do/say something that is not right/true just so you can get into problems later. An example can be that if your friends invite you to go somewhere and you know that they are going to be doing drugs and drinking, and you know that every time that they go to a party and they tell you about they always say that the cops end up going to the house and they have to end up running away so that they don't get caught . So you know that something bad might happen so you rather just say no thanks maybe next time. Also if you say something that isn't true and you tell someone and then they tell someone and it goes on and on and it just becomes a huge problem.

Student Success Statement

1. Have the courage to say no.
2. Have the courage to face the truth.
3. Do the right thing because its right.

These are the three magic keys to living your life with integrity.
                               W.Clement Stone

I agree with the quote because integrity means adherence to moral and ethical principles soundness of moral character and honesty. In ethics, integrity is regarded by many people as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one's actions. Integrity can stand in opposition to hypocrisy, in that judging with the standards of integrity involves regarding internal consistency as a virtue, and suggests that parties holding within themselves apparently conflicting values should account for the discrepancy or alter their beliefs.. A person with integrity always make the right decisions, choose the right, never lies and is honest. People that don't have integrity are bad people dishonest, always lies , that don't have a little bit of moral, that always do the wrong thing and never says no to bad things. Having integrity is to do the right thing even when no one is watching and means a lot of who you are integrity is a important part of who you are. Here is an example when i was in middle school i had friends that would just use me to copy my homework and always like to push me around, but i thought that they were like that that they weren't just using me they were actually my friends. Then people in class started asking me, why are you friends with them if all they do is use me and i would always denied it because i was afraid that it would be true, and it was so i had to learn the hard way to say no and now i finally i know how to stand up for myself and say no when i know that its not the right thing to do .

Veteran's Day

Veteran’s day

The origin of veteran’s day goes back to the end of World War l. When World War l ended it was ended with the Treaty of Versailles. However the fighting ended on the eleventh month, eleventh day and the eleventh hour. The Treaty of Versailles Was signed on June 28 of 1919 though Germany and the Allied forces had a temporary cessation of hostilities seven months prior to the signing. Every November eleventh we celebrate the ending of all wars. A few ways to honor veterans is to fly an American flag, to donate to an organization for veterans, or you can go to an event for the veterans that are near you.

William Penn

“The best recreation is to do good” William Penn

I believe this means that there is no better thing to do, than chose the right. What ever you do, reflects on you. If you chose the wrong, people are going to judge you. Other from being judged, you will have a bad reputation. To do good is the most powerful and effective way to achieve leisure and tranquility. Doing good is the best way to feel good. In other words when you do something to help your reward is the feeling of goodness. The best thing to do is to do something positive with yourself. For example, if you’re doing good in school like getting good grades, and doing homework everyday you'll be proud of yourself and see the positive impacts it going to happen.

“A good name is better than anything you can achieve in this life.”
Coach K

I believe this quote means that nothing is more important/better than a good reputation. A good reputation says all of you. Depending on your reputation, people will judge you. Many people don’t care about what they say about them. It’s preferable to have a good reputation rather than a bad one. Coach K has made a great difference in their players life. Coach K is well talked about. Especially from his players, they say he’s a friend, trustworthy and a great person. Coach K should keep on doing what he’s doing because he’s making a great difference in peoples’ lives.

Right

RIGHT
“If your so called friends urge you to do anything you know to be wrong, YOU be the one to make a stand for right, even if you stand alone. Have the moral courage to be a light for others to follow.”
Thomas S. Monson

Reflection; This means to stand up for what you believe. It means to speak up for yourself. If people want to force you to make bad choices they are not your friends. Friends are those who motivate you go choose the right. You have to speak up about what you believe in, otherwise people will take advantade of your stupidity.

Obedience

Obedience
"The key to freedom is obedience. The more obedient we are, the more freedom we have."
This quote means that you wont have privileges if you don't earn them.
"A CTR person is a person who makes a great human out of himself."
