Veteran’s day
The origin of veteran’s day goes back to
the end of World War l. When World War l ended it was ended with the Treaty of
Versailles. However the fighting ended on the eleventh month, eleventh day and
the eleventh hour. The Treaty of Versailles Was signed on June 28 of 1919
though Germany and the Allied forces had a temporary cessation of hostilities
seven months prior to the signing. Every November eleventh we celebrate the ending
of all wars. A few ways to honor veterans is to fly an American flag, to donate
to an organization for veterans, or you can go to an event for the veterans
that are near you.
